Hello all I am just back from a holiday up in the Isle of Lewis with my kids and I was at the church on Sunday and heard a fortifying sermon on the whole attitude of a Pastor and his role.

The Rev James MacIver had a call from the North Free Church, Inverness (“a call” is when a church approaches a minister to come and be the senior pastor/overseer of their church).

Well the call to be minister was asked to not to proceed by the Rev James MacIver, where he felt clear in his mind that his work hadn’t finished yet. I do feel the same as an outsider looking in and feel there is so much potential in sharing the Gospel to others. I do believe that up in Lewis that young men and women can be trained more in scripture and to teach and evangelize the Word. To be trained in the Word isn’t just a Sunday and prayer meeting thing but it has to be set aside and more focused and deeper training.

I’ll share more on this soon but here is the message preached from the book of Philippians Chap. 1 verse 25 - A Personal Conviction

Dr. Cairns is one of the safest preachers around teaching a sound message from God’s Word. He isn’t scared of telling the truth from God’s Word and I pray he will keep preaching till the day the Lord takes him home. You maybe shocked or in disbelief after you have either heard or watched the first part of this message. This is the right feeling to have if you are a tongue speaker and attend Charismatic/Pentecostal churches that promote this demonist possession and have departed from the fundamental doctrines of Gods Word.

 The feelings you have are from the true Holy Spirit of God pleading you with conviction to come out of your old ways and turn to the Lord and come in repentance and seek help from the Word of God and prayer.
